atheism
This article almost made me tear up from joy just now. Since I was around 9-10 years old I have been embracing atheism more and more tightly. I am what you might call a naturalist, and evolution inspires me more than any religion ever did or could. I'm tempted to say that this discussion is too long for a simple blog post, but lately what I realize more and more is that it's not really that long. For me there is simply no wonder in the divine. God is magic, plain and simple. I don't mean magic in the slight of hand sort of way. I mean true magic. The stuff of dreams and miracles. If anything is possible, then, well, anything is possible and to me that makes the world kind of boring. The fact that the human mind, the animal body, the blades of grass, the pebble on the beach have all taken their shape by a completely random, aimless process is incredible. Just stop and look around at the incredibly well fitting puzzle that is the life in front of you. It's all already there. God is unnecessary.

lol zzzzzzzzz
first of all, you know I love having this kind of discussion with you, so here is my little input... to the primal man, god was the order that they could not see, make sense of, and even though we have evolved to know more, we as a species can never truly come to understand everything of the universe. I think mystery is what makes life interesting. Religion grew forth from "a" faith, they are not one in the same... I think it's nice to hear you say that if anything is possible, then that would be boring... cuz if everything is possible, then our lives have no control, no set road... I know that you don't believe in fate, but it is good to hear that you faith in a natural balance of the universe, not necessarily a God, but the natural order of things...
PS... OMG have you read how pissed off the "Christian" community is about Obama's mention of "non-believers"... they must have forgotten
