First day in Ireland

Well everyone, I'm in Ireland at at last! My first impression can easily be summed up in one word: GREEN. Everything is green and yes, it is definitely raining. I had to walk from the busstation to the hostel and not only did I get very wet in the process, the hostel doesn't have check-in until 3:30pm. Right now it's noon. So I can't really go anywhere because it's raining and because I can't just leave my luggage here. So I'm bored and posting here. The hostel itself is in a tiny town called Sixmilebridge (www.jamaicainn.ie) and there are some geese outside and I'm definitely hearing mooing. I'm sitting in the common room and a minute ago there were some kids watching RHCP videos and talking amongst themselves. I can't understand a word unless I listen very closely. If I'm just trying to overhear someone's conversation I can barely get the drift of what they're talking about. Everyone's really nice though and calls me and everyone else "love" on every occasion. I wish there were some young people here that I could talk to and hang out with, but instead there are a bunch of Irish families. This isn't exactly the typical hostel atmosphere though it's really nice and clean and more like an inn than a hostel. I've got a lot of time to kill and I wish it wasn't 3am in California so I could talk to someone. =(
Miss you all already.

Rena

P.S. I've changed the settings so that anyone can comment, even if you don't have a blogger account =)

Hey!
This is great. I thought Ireland would be green but now I almost know for sure. We miss you here too. Maybe you should try making friends with the geese.
loves,
Misty
